HP-Safe
HP Safe is a monolithic board consisting of a battery monitoring unit, intelligence, and power relay interface for managing applications with high current requirements.
Designed to monitor up to 32 cells individually, the HP-Safe can also be connected in a parallel architecture to seamlessly support hot-plugging & battery-swapping applications. HP-Safe is chemistry agnostic and compatible with all leading chemistries of lithium-ion batteries.

Dynamic paralleling
Maxwell’s proprietary algorithms achieve dynamic battery swapping (hot-plugging) using auto-addressing. Scalable architecture supports up to 18 batteries in parallel.
Serialization
Pre-PDU Serialling of batteries is supported to achieve higher system voltages without a need for additional external hardware.
